This will be my last blog post for a while. Life is getting busier on a personal level – I need to address my fitness issues too and I have spent far too long at my PC!!! I shall continue to create photo art and maintain my Flickr account, but the blogs are on the back burner for now.

Our challenge from Bonnie this week, was to use 3 different photos and one of her textures (glorious free to use – DO try them!), to create an abstract of our own… Here’s my before with the pics and texture layer I used:

And here is, (quite fittingly),  my result:

I think it’s brilliant that my eye remains there – can’t just be a coincidence, can it? Nah!

Here’s another reason to remain fit and well… Nick’s condition (degenerative osteo-arthritis, a crumbling spine and a hiatus hernia) is not improving so we are going to strive for a healthier lifestyle, better diet and more swimming.  We have a new grandchild on the way and it is so important that we are around to be able to enjoy this new chapter when he/she arrives!

Plus – think of all the photo opportunities!!!!!! 😉

Thanks to Bonnie for the awesome textures. Do take a look/join in at Photo Art Friday – Pixel Dust Photo Art – Bonnie’s wonderful site.

Rosie – did you repost!??? Smiles. I thought I already wrote a note on your beautiful piece of art. I love the shadows, light, your “eye”, and the color of the spokes in the wheelchair. This is absolutely rich and gorgeous. I understand a need to “take hold of your day” since my last three years were caring for my mother – and, yes, it is definitely important to care of yourself – I didn’t and now “must.” Hoping to still see some of your art because it is excellent. Love, hugs, and prayers from Alaska. Karen

  2. Rosie, I’ll miss your artwork and posts, but fully understand the need to take breaks! Honour your instincts, and do what you need to do! But please don’t be a stranger! I’ll miss you too much! Take care of yourself and your family….I know I don’t need to say that. I know you will! XOXO

  3. Rosie I am so sorry to hear that you are not going to be around so much, but know that this is the “eye of wisdom” in making this choice. This is a lovely piece that you have created, and wish the best for you on your seeking better health. Also congratulations on that expected new grandchild. Good health to you and many blessings! Jeanne. Think you should copy this cool art to remind you of the wisdom of your choice!

  4. What an excellent abstract – I love the big circle of the wheel and I noticed your eye peeking out before I read your comments. I thought maybe you’d erased around it to make sure it was visible. If not, then that’s even more serendipitous. Great use of images!

I love what you created here – and the eye makes it very special! I love that. I wish you much health and hope you enjoy your break from the blog world. We all need that at times, don’t we? Take care!

Wonderful piece. I loved the eye in the photo, it really added interest. Great composition. I will miss seeing your photo art on your blog but understand about taking a “break”, we all could use them from time to time. Much success to you and your hubby on health issues.

A lovely composition Rosie. You will be missed – but health MUST come first. You are setting a good example for us all. May this new plan bring speedy results for both you and your DH.

  8. Great artwork, I like it very much.

Tho, it’s sad to know another blogger is putting their posting on the back burner for a while…issues and daily living IS MUCH MORE IMPORTANT!!!

That, I can understand. I do hope that sometime soon, you’ll be back, but in the meantime….do your family and yourself good.

well, i will come to your blog from time to time and see if anything happens… i didn´t play at PAF the last two weeks, because i feel the need to make something with my hands again, not only sitting at the pc (feeling my shoulder, not good, i´ve also decided to take care of my health a bit more). so i can fully understand. but sure we´ll stay in touch!
all the best for you and your family, take care!
