For TT this week, we are to use the prompt “open” and use at least one of Kim’s texture layers…
I used a photo of some white roses opening for the prompt, and like my pal Johanna, I found an appropriate quote, using the word “open”.
Who’d have thought Ben Franklin would say that? Lol! (Keep your eyes wide open before marriage, half shut afterwards…)
I used Kim’s confidence [colour burn @100%, then copied with multiply @21%]
Then I took the paper texture evolve_2 [multiply @100% & copied with colour burn @100%]
I used a mask on the last layer to remove some of the texture from the central rose…
Lots of inspiring photos to be found HERE.
Benjamin Franklin was a smart guy! You did a great job on the roses.
Thanks Pat!! =D
Beautiful!! Love the quote too.
Cheers, Susan!
WELL…what I find quite ironic about that quote from Benny boy is that HE invented BI-FOCALS!!! haha. Awesome photo and texture work ๐
Kathy
Lol!! I didn’t know that Kathy!!!! ๐
hehe, you know iยดm grinning here… must put that quote in my notebook…
love how you edited the rose… (could be one of my bridal bouquet… well, almost 30 years ago, that is… some half shut eye moments since then;) well, not complaining…)
I’m not complaining either, and what the eye doesn’t see, the heart won’t grieve over… ๐
Hi Rosie,
Nice to catch up, I have been thinking about you too, can see you love your digital explorations, lovely, they are a great escape for me as well although I tend to do my own thing. The weather is a bit dull today but has been very clear and sharp the last couple of days just right for finding the light – puts me in photo mode and dreaming of visiting the coast in the spring.
Sue
Yes, your photography is far more advanced than mine… I have a week off soon, so I shall practise taking shots of our surroundings. We’re just going to Par for a few days, but it’ll be wonderful just to get away from home for once! I’m quite excited!! Roll on the Spring too! ๐
Wow Rosie – is this you? What a change of direction. I’ve not been doing any blogging for months but am back with a new challenge to myself – to do with the craft but not paper! lol! Hope you have a good year my friend! BB x
The Craft, eh? How wonderful – and good timing too Fi… This is the year of big changes, methinks!
BB – xoxoxo
Beautiful Rosie! I may not much be around in comments lately, but I still am here! Hope you’re doing fine dear!
I completely understand how busy you are Marit!! Editor-in-chief… how cool is that?!!! xoxo
More gorgeous white roses! I love the Franklin quote! Too true!
I’m off to add your new blog link to my blogroll. I shall leave your old one in place unless and until you tell me to remove it. XOXO
